After you've confirmed your device meets the system requirements, it's time to set up your Ongo Vision device. This process involves downloading the Ongo Vision App (for Android devices) or Software (for Windows laptops and computers) and connecting the device to your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
Downloading the Ongo Vision App
If you're using an Android device, follow these steps to download the Ongo Vision App:
- Open the Google Play Store on your Android smartphone or tablet.
- In the search bar, type "Ongo Vision" and press enter.
- Look for the official Ongo Vision App in the search results. Verify that the app is published by Ongo Vettech.
- Tap on the "Install" button to download and install the app on your device.
- Once the installation is complete, tap on the "Open" button to launch the app.
Installing Ongo Vision on Windows
If you're using a Windows laptop or computer, follow these steps to install the Ongo Vision Software:
- Download the Ongo Vision Software installer from here: download Windows.
- Right-click on the downloaded file and select "Run as administrator" to start the installation. You must have administrative rights to proceed.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the Pylon Camera Driver first, which is crucial for the software's operation.
- Continue with the installation of the Ongo Vision Windows application through the guided Windows interface.
Important: Ongo Vision software requires external hardware to function. Ensure the hardware is connected before using the software.
Connecting Ongo Vision to Your Device
After installing the Ongo Vision App or Software, you can now connect your Ongo Vision device to your smartphone, tablet, or laptop:
- Ensure that your Ongo Vision device is powered on and the LED indicator is illuminated.
- For Android devices, use the provided OTG cable (USB Type-A to Type-C) to connect the Ongo Vision device to your smartphone or tablet.
- For Windows laptops and computers, use the provided USB 3.0 cable (Type-A to Type-A) to connect the Ongo Vision device to your laptop or computer. If your computer has USB3.0 or higher speed USB-C port, you can connect the provided OTG cable (USB Type-A to Type-C) to connect the Ongo Vision as well.
- Launch the Ongo Vision App or Software on your device.
- The app or software should automatically detect the connected Ongo Vision device. If not, follow the on-screen instructions to manually establish the connection.
