Optical Safety
- The Ongo Vision microscope uses a powerful LED light source. Do not stare directly into the light or point it towards the eyes of humans or animals, as this may cause temporary or permanent eye damage.
- Do not attempt to remove or replace the LED light source. If the light appears to be malfunctioning, contact Customer Support for assistance.
Biological Safety
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and lab coats, when handling semen samples to minimize the risk of exposure to potentially harmful biological materials.
- Dispose of used slides, pipettes, and other consumables in accordance with your local biosafety regulations and guidelines.
- Clean and disinfect the Ongo Vision microscope and its accessories regularly, following the instructions provided in the Cleaning and Storage article.
Heated Stage Safety
- The heated stage of the Ongo Vision microscope can reach temperatures of up to 37-38°C (98.6-100.4°F) to maintain optimal conditions for semen analysis. Avoid touching the heated stage directly during or immediately after use to prevent burns.
- Do not place flammable or heat-sensitive materials near the heated stage, as this may create a fire hazard.
General Safety
- Use the Ongo Vision microscope only for its intended purpose, as described in the Intended Use Disclaimer.
